I have 2 main projects going at the moment,

• My "new" linux box. I'm taking an old Tyan 2469UGN motherboard and building a household server out of it. It is also going to be a sort of engineering workstation for some microcontroller-based electronics work I'm doing (below). (project link)


• I've recently developed a taste for Atmel's 8-bit AVR microcontroller chips. (Chips! Yum!) I've got a gcc-based cross-compile setup on my PowerBook and I'm currently building an AC voltage & frequency monitor to detect and report brownouts and other power glitches on the power coming into the house. Yes, I know I need to flesh this out a bit. :)

I want to hear from you if you do any AVR or embedded work, especially if you do your development work on a Macintosh.
